Indian Monsooned Malabar
Monsooned Malabar is an Indian variety of dry processed coffee beans. The harvested and processed beans are exposed to the monsoon rain and winds for a period of about three to four months, causing the beans to swell and lose the original acidity, resulting smooth brew with a practically neutral pH balance. The coffee is unique to the Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala. The name Monsooned Malabar is derived from exposure to the monsoon winds of the Malabar coast. The blend is heavy bodied, pungent and is considered to be dry with a musty, chocolatey aroma and notes of spice and nuts. At Z Street, this is our featured and favorite bean. It is recommended that you choose a Full City + to a Vienna roast.
Indian Mysore Nuggets
Mysore coffee is grown in India in the State of Karnataka, which was formerly known as Mysore (pronounced My-sur). About 80% of Indian coffee comes from Karnataka, and this coffee is often sold as Indian Mysore. Indian Mysore is sweet with a medium to full body and a subtle, rich flavor complemented by a medium acidity. We recommend a Full City + roast for this product.
Indonesian Sumatra Grade 1
In general, Indonesia’s Arabica coffees have low acidity and strong body. Coffees from Sumatra are known for smooth, sweet body that is balanced and intense. Occasionally, Sumatran coffees can show greater acidity, which balances the body. The classic character of a Sumatra will be a real full bodied and creamy cup with low acidity. We recommend this at a Full City to a Full City + roast.
